Our client, a front office search firm with five international offices, is looking to hire a Risk Recruitment Practice Lead to take ownership of a growing global risk vertical.
They are best known for placing Portfolio Managers into hedge funds and proprietary trading firms. That reputation matters. It gives them direct access to decision makers running some of the most sophisticated investment teams in the market.
Off the back of that, they are seeing a consistent flow of inbound risk mandates. Real work, from real clients, that needs someone capable of owning it and turning it into a structured, scalable practice.
This role is about taking that momentum and building something serious around it.
You will be stepping into a position with immediate delivery. Active mandates across market risk, credit risk and quantitative risk, already coming through from top tier buy side clients. At the same time, you will have the platform, brand and relationships to expand that into a true global risk offering.
What you will be doing
• Owning and scaling the global risk recruitment practice, leveraging a strong flow of inbound work from hedge funds and proprietary trading firms.
• Delivering on live mandates across market risk, credit risk and quantitative risk, often at senior levels.
• Building relationships with senior risk leaders while also leveraging existing front office relationships within Portfolio Manager hiring teams.
• Positioning yourself as the go to recruiter for risk hiring within the buy side.
• Mapping the global risk landscape across hedge funds, prop shops and asset managers so you know exactly where top talent sits.
• Driving additional revenue through expanding existing client relationships rather than starting from zero.
• Leading from the front as a billing Practice Lead, with the opportunity to build and develop a team around you.
This is a role for someone who understands how valuable inbound work actually is… and knows how to turn it into a serious desk.
