We are partnering with a specialist search firm looking to hire a Private Equity Recruitment Consultant to join their growing team in London.

The business operates across upper mid-market and large-cap private equity, partnering with funds, portfolio companies, and advisory platforms on key investment hiring mandates.

This is a market where quality matters. Clients are hiring individuals who can directly influence returns, transactions, value creation, and long-term fund performance. Search processes are often sensitive, competitive, and relationship-led.

The role would suit someone already recruiting into private equity, or a strong recruiter from an investment banking desk looking to move into a more lucrative and buyside-focused market.

Candidates with backgrounds across M&A, leveraged finance, debt advisory, restructuring, or broader front-office investment banking markets could transition well into this space.

This is not a volume environment. Success comes through credibility, consistency, market intelligence, and the ability to build trusted relationships with high-performing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mandates for investment professionals across private equity funds, including Analysts, Associates, VPs, Principals, Directors, and Partner-level hires
• Build relationships with high-calibre candidates from investment banks, advisory firms, consulting firms, and competing funds
• Partner closely with clients to understand investment strategy, culture, and hiring priorities
• Manage retained and contingent searches through to completion
• Develop market maps across sectors, funds, and talent pools
• Generate new business opportunities through existing relationships and market insight
• Advise clients on compensation trends, competitor hiring activity, and talent availability
• Represent the firm professionally in a highly network-driven market
