L/S Equities - London or NYC based - Live Hire
Well established market within the business - Loads of traction and and abundance of clients and work here
Both MA (Search) and MD (Research and Consulting) operate in this market - c.$1million of research sold last year on top of search revenue
4 People based in NYC in this team and 2 researchers in London
Everyone has the remit to work Analyst through to PM hires and they believe it is important to do so even with a focus on PM hires (Can explain Talal's logic when we speak)
Average billing across this team is approaching 2m and average earnings £600k+
You would have the remit to sell and work on search and research supported on both internally
The opportunity would depend on what you had a desire to do but generally speaking need a Senior Hire to be focussed on specific clients who have real demand and needs in this space.
Current client base consists of Multi and Single Managers, Prop Trading, Market Makers, Sovereigns
The wider business is c.60 people now across London, New York and Dubai

2. AAA Global - Discretionary Trading and Portfolio Management Growth

AAA Global are a HFT/Quant Trading Search Business at their core
I placed someone to take on discretionary work within AAA Global client base over a year ago and she is doing really well but not a lead of the practice and has no desire to be
Mainly Macro and Equities coverage in their Discretionary business currently
The business have physical offices in London, Dubai, Amsterdam, Mumbai and Shenzhen
They are a truly global firm and encourage employee to travel to all of the offices and meet their team members - there are plans for a NYC office at some point but they are servicing US clients very successfully from their global offices
Apart from US work the culture is to deliver a local service to clients, so the offices typically cover their local geography but vertical will always override geography.
Although seat wise this might not seem the most obvious I think culturally you would love this firm - the owner Augusta is truly inspirational and such a great person. She is massive into professional and personal development and works closely with people at all levels in the business to help them develop, as well as investing in external coaching with some names I would be surprised if you hadn't heard of.
